TrueSens, a New Way to Success
TrueSens, an abbreviation of “true sense”,
is a video communication system designed by
KEDACOM for Small & Medium-sized Enterprises
(SMEs). It can efficiently solve problems
that arise from interregional communications
between an enterprise and its branches and
partners, such as, low communication
efficiency of traditional phone calls and
E-mails, and high traveling expenses. With
TrueSens videoconferencing system,
“face-to-face” communications can be made
instantly, just like in the same meeting
room where people listen, speak and discuss
at will.

Composition
of TrueSens
TrueSens consists of Multipoint Control Unit
(MCU), Meeting Terminals (MTs) and optional
application software. Deployed normally in
headquarters, an MCU is used to link all MTs
and to switch, transmit and process video
and audio data streams among conference
rooms. MTs are installed in conference rooms
or offices where video applications are
needed. They are for coding, decoding and
transmitting video and audio signals of a
conference. Application software includes
digital recording and Video-on-demand System
(VOS), Meeting Control System (MCS) and
Network Management System (NMS). The digital
recording, VOS, MCS and NMS software
applications are optional. The digital
recording and VOS software are installed on
a PC or a server to provide conference
recording, storage and VOD service. The MCS
software, which is built on a B/S
architecture, provides graphic operation and
management interface, allowing convenient
and intuitive management of large
conferences. Installed on a PC or server,
the NMS is used for equipment management and
network management throughout the network.

TrueSens Completely Differs from Video
Communication Software Products
TrueSens is completely different from
typical video chatting software or
videoconferencing software tools. In a
conference, image and voice acquisition is
performed by TrueSens’ integrated
high-performance camera and microphone, then
processed with dedicated codec device, and
finally reproduced through TV/monitor and
speaker systems. TrueSens products feature

connection to a TV/projector, an insertion
of a network cable and a simple network
configuration to complete the installation,
regardless of countries, offices or meeting

straight forward. All operations are
performed on the remote control coming with
the system. Through intuitive instructions,
a new user can learn how to use the system
in a very short period of time.
